It’s Independence Day for us americans. I’ve never been all that patriotic, not even sure that I’ve worn red, white, and blue together on purpose. When I was little the 4th was all about the big party we’d throw, inviting neighbors, friends, and family to a big pot luck type of dinner. Us little kids would get to play with sparklers while the older kids would set off firecrackers and once we’d tired ourselves out the adults would set off the bottle rockets and bigger fireworks. Through the years the Fourth of July has remained more about food and family than anything else. I think the outfit below represents my casual outlook on this holiday to a T, no flag shirt and it’s something you could actually wear on any summer day, but the color combo is so subtle it would only really be noticed on the 4th.
